VACATION TIME FOR US---TEXAS, HERE WE COME!
We're use to hearing "CHURCH VS. STATE", but I heard a new one that could become well-known also: "SPORTS VS. POLITICS". That starts the imagination with a different set of conflicts. And another thing I read is that the metal value of the penny exceedes its face value. Now isn't that funny? I don't think that will happen to a dollar bill, but it is gong that way------Going on vacation----my turn for fun! Marian

I thought that I responded to this post a week ago but I guess not. It is certainly true that if the Super Bowl was played on election day we'd have fewer voters. Some might suggest that politics is just a slower form of sport with winning being the objective rather than making a better life for the citizens.
Now the penny - back in the '70s when the penny was copper there were people making washers out of pennies because copper washers cost a nickel and it wash cheaper to punch the center out of a penny.
